4 x 1950s VALVE AMPLIFIERS. RARER VERSION WITH VU METER INSTEAD OF MAGIC EYE. All photos are of the actual items for sale, (except photos 3 & 4, which show the more-or-less identical power supplies from another quad set, because I don't have photos of these actual ones yet). VALVES - EACH AMP USES. 1 x EF86 (input pre-amplifier).

1 x EL84 (4W power amplifier). 1 x EZ80 (Mains Rectifier valve). Each comes with it's EZ80 (most have circa-1958 Mullard Blackburn factory code). Included - Copies of: Clear, legible circuit diagrams/parts lists; Operating instructions inc. Notes on using magic eye; Tech articles; (collected by myself over last 14 years). I have collected a number of these amps over the years, with the intention of re-furbing and rack-mounting a set of them as multi-purpose studio pre- and line- amps.

I have had a couple put into service, requiring the usual suspects power caps etc. The sound is magical old-school, big warm and proper.

Although not as detailed as fully-professional pre-amps, the plan was to use these on "the band" i. , to create a unified atmospheric and colourful backdrop, (and save the signature pre for the vocal/lead instrument). But reluctantly I realise I have too many irons in the fire, and have to pass the project on to someone new. Please message me for more info - or try googling.
