Accurate Sound Ampex 351 Tube Preamp Pair

For sale is a pair of Accurate Sound 300 SS Tube Tape Machine Preamps. When Ampex ceased production of the 351 and 354 machines Accurate Sound acquired all of Ampexs remaining 351 parts inventory and produced their own versions of these classic machines. These preamps will need electronic restoration but are in very good physical condition for their age. They do not have the octal transformers but appear to have rear-mounted Beyer input transformers similar to the Ampex MX-10/35 mixers.

They also have the largest VU meters I have ever seen! The meter bulb holders are cracked on one of the units. The back panels are missing some screws and the top cages are long gone. I put Ampex style knobs on them to give them a more vintage feel. I was going to use thes to do the Electrical Audio preamps mods but I have too many projects in my studio.
