So it will be a few weeks before I can repost, if it doesn't sell on this second go-around. This is the industry's first two-channel mic pre-amp focused on the special needs of ribbon mics, offering over 80 dB of clean gain. In order to deal with challenges in recording environments, it also provides a filter and a shaping EQ per channel. I have owned this for two years and have only used it in two recording sessions, to extend the number of drum channels available, but have since upgraded my main audio interface and now have enough channels without an extra pre-amp, as well as sufficient gain for my mic collection. Although designed for ribbon mics, Wes Dooley also made sure that the RPQ mic pre-amp works great on standard dynamic mics and condenser mics, and provides phantom power to both channels as-needed, with separate XLR jacks on the back so that you dont accidentally send phantom power to a delicate ribbon mic.

This item is in near mint condition and has all the original accessories (rack mount adapters, standard IEC power cable, user manual) and original box with foam inserts to suspend the unit completely away from the box corners and edges much safer even than peanuts, air packs, etc. AEA RPQ 2-channel Ribbon Microphone Preamp Features. 80dB of gain at 1kHz, balanced-in to balanced-out. Noise figure, rms A-weighted: < 2 dB. EIN < -128 dBu A-weighted, 150 W resistive source.

Balanced microphone input impedance > 10 kOhm. Green, red, and yellow LEDs indicate line level. XLR output max level into 600O load: +28 dBu, balanced; +22 dBu, unbalanced. TRS output max level into 100 kO load: +22 dBu, unbalanced. Grayhill series 71 stepped gain switch. Rotary potentiometers detented at 12:00 o'clock position.
