Groove Tubes GT Vipre Tube Microphone Mic Preamp Preamplifier

This Vipre has only seen very light use in a private home studio. Cosmetically, it has minimal wear.

It does have some scratches as other gears were installed above it in the rack. Functionally, this preamp works great. It is a transformer input mic pre, but it is switchable. This is like having multiple input transformers!

This gives you different sonic color depending on the mic, which allows you to dial in the right tone on any mic, even on the good old SM58. I found that bass through DI input gives you extra warmth and fullness. This preamp has rise time control which is very unique. I use it to control the nuance of percussive sounds, which allows you to subtly tweak the recorded sound.

The tubes were all replaced with a spare set a couple of years ago, so you should be able to get years of use out of them. I would love to keep the mic pre, but I have too many and this guy is not getting enough use. It is a bit on the heavy side, but I will package it extremely well so it will arrive safely.
