The PM1000 when recapped and EQ modified is my all-time favorite bang-for-the-buck preamp. Classic Black model with the Marconi style knobs on gain and output, all new electrolytic caps, Tamura input and matching output transformers, EQ modified to emulate a 1073, and an excellent Jason Lambson (Revive Audio) power supply designed specifically for PM1000 applications. Jason is one of the audio wizards and just good people in general.
