The TAB V74 tube preamp module is originally designed as line amp and has a maximum gain of 9dB. This module was probably built in 1958 and it was recently modified to micpre. It has a low input impedance now and a gain of 37dB (V72 has 34dB). The frequency response is very good.

Soundwise it is very similar to the V72 but a little more open at the top end. Identical is the warm, natural and very precise sound. Feel freee to ask for a plug and play adaptor or racking.
