Just magical and makes everything sound great. Used it a lot for drums and vocals.
But I haven't used it in a while and it's just been sitting in the box on a shelf in my studio. Time to let it go. There are some minor scratches and cosmetic flaws. Most notable is the lower right rack mount hole, which is banged up and bent a little.
Still mounts just fine though. Since I haven't plugged it in in a long while, I got the unit out this morning and tested all four channels on the solid state and tube settings. The signals were good everywhere I tested, on all four channels, dialed both to tube and solid state settings. It might need new tubes soon.I used it more often in the solid state setting. On some channels, last time I tracked with it a couple years ago, I wasn't getting a good signal when I dialed it all the way to the tube side.
My feeling is, I do think the tubes are getting older and it might be good to replace them in the near future. So you should be aware of that possibility. But the unit will work well for you right out of the box, and replacing the tubes would be an optional thing to do now or down the road at some point. And, again, I haven't used it much in the past two or three years.I believe it should give years of happy sonic life to its next owner. I wish I didn't need to sell it.
