Vintage Siemens/ WSW Uber Rare Channel Strip Mic PreAmp + EQ 1967
Vintage German Siemens / WSW Austria Channel Strip W-VE-15 best quality Mics Preamp + Passive EQ. Model W-VE-15 made by Wiener Schwachstrom Werke (WSW) in 1967. This unit has more Vintage Mojotone than even the Vintage Neve. Its the father of NEVE!!! Show it to your Technician or modern developer of sound equipment they will be amazed by the parts, schematics and intellect utilized to produce it. Probably the best sounding Channel Strip ever built with all discrete modules Class-A Transistor Preamp and all Passive EQ.

First of all it is completely Plug and Play unit with implemented Power Supply. Switch on and use it now! Not like some raw vintage modules that will cost you a fortune to make run. Everything was checked and serviced.

/ Out modules have been added, which are at the back. It works on 220V as all vintage German gear should. Here is the greatest peace of sound engineering gear - AWESOME SOUNDING fully discrete Vintage Class-A Transistor Siemens/.

Made in Austria in 1967. Tonewise, the WSW is on the British side: Very direct sounding, lots of "iron" from the transformers, super high resolution. This module has been tested and is in great working condition - no issues whatsover. Pics of the actual item for sale. First of all its my most favorite mic pre. And I own Vintage Neve 1073 and V72, V76 and many more of the top league. Check out various threads on gearslutz etc. First, I love my WSW pre-amps.

They were made in Austria in the 50s and early 60s and are tube-driven Telefunken V76-style pre-amps. I modded them a bit and nothing sounds harsh through them. Just throw some standard Shure SM58s at them and see your jaw drop. They are very rare and Im lucky enough to have a pair. Here is the sound test how WSW sounds like against Vintage NEVE 1073.

Rupert Neve took the schematics of the Austrian WSW found later in NEVE 1073.. BA183 and BA184 modules from 1972. By many WSW gear is considered the same league as Neve, API, Fairchild etc. Excellent for everything great on vocals, guitars, synths, Drums..... The sound is very distinctive, smooth, transparent, warm and musical. Lenny Kravitz uses a lot of wsw gear on most his records (check the web). From web forums about these gear. WSW introduced their silicon compact console!!!! To me one of best sounding pres are in that console.... Module called 811510B that is mid 60s design of gain amp i found same in latter NEVE 1073.. BA183 and BA184 modules from 1972 WSW 811510B had that preamp design in 1966!!!!!!!!!! 811510B is very good for everything... Great on Vocals, synths, Drums..... LENNY KRAVITZ USES WSW GEAR ON MOST OF HIS RECORD TO GET TRUE VINTAGE SOUND. NEVE 1073 CIRCUITRY WAS BASED ON THIS WSW PIECE.

IF YOU VANT TO GET SOUND OF NEVE 1073 AND EVEN BETTER THIS IS THE REAL DEAL! The Channel Strip has the following controls. 1 x Volume Control Knob, with fixed steps (Input Gain) Activated 1 x Carbon Fader to control the output level (Output Level) Activated 1 x Button for selected listening "Solo" in mode SIP Solo In Place Not used here, needed in the actual console but can be implemented as the original module is there. 1 x Slide Switch HPF Filter with three modes (Left-30Hz, Center 80Hz, Right - 180Hz) Activated 4 x Knobs of 3 Bands EQ: Low - fixed 60Hz - boost/ cut, High - 12Khz Boost/ Cut, Midrange. Activated 4 x Aux Sends - 4 FX Sends with single control knob and 4 buttons.
