After purchasing this listing you will need to send me your donor akai or Roberts mono block and I will convert it to a tube preamp.

The entire unit gets stripped down to ground, power transformer, choke, VU meter, power switch, and turret board gets reused, the rest of the old electronics get gutted out and I build a custom preamp for you from ground up. That with combination of the gain stages handles any types of microphones specially ribbon microphones that are gain hungry.

Phase, -20db input pad, Low Cut can be added. Gain control (trim), attenuation (balanced variable 600Ohm attenuator). Balanced VU meter driver board will be driving the VU meter, my custom designed driver board will give you reference levels of +4db, and will not distort or load down the audio.
