Here we have on offer a very nice vintage 1960s British valve tube mic pre. This is the same unit as our more expensive types but missing some of the optional upgrades for a lower cost. This is perfect for a super high end valve DI unit... Awesome sounding on Bass, guitars, synths, drum machines as well as a high gain mic pre.

Custom built from very high quality parts, fully serviced and re-housed for 19 rack mount. 48db valve gain from 20hz to 20k hz. 2 x EF86 / 1 x ECC83 / 1 x EL84 / 4 valves in total. Unbalanced XLR and 1/4 line output.

Transformer balanced XLR mic input. Partridge power transformer and choke - Military grade parts. Input level control - For mic input. VU meter / vintage Sifam.

1/4 Hi impedance DI input. Perfect for Bass / Guitars. 1/4 line input - Synths, drum machines or line level in. The gain stages are the same as in classic units like the V72 and EMI REDD series which used an EF86 mic input.

This gives a very warm sounding tone and adds plenty of flavour. This unit does not have the 48v Phantom power and balanced line output fitted. Fully tested and working, full audio bandwidth and low noise components.
