Avalon M5 Class A Microphone Preamp. Great Shape. US Sellr

This is one of the cleanest preamps you can find in the market. Besides regular mic preamp, it does have an extra input for DPA 130v mics, instrument input, variable hi pass filter, large VU meter, polarity reverse and pad. This preamp has an external transformer based power supply, which minimizes noise to the signal.

In the original design, the M5 uses a half space rack wide and 2U space in hight. Since the phantom power switch is originally located in the back of the unit, it's difficult to reach when installed in a rack.

To fix that, I transplanted the phantom power switch to the front of the unit, attached to the right rack ear. See the pics for details. This made possible to keep this unit in my studio rack with the other preamps and outboard gear. Includes power supply and cable with it.
