The 286s is a channel strip processor that incorporates a studio-quality mic/instrument preamp and four processors. 286s mic preamps feature everything you need, including wide input gain control, +48V phantom power, and an 80Hz high-pass filter. The patented dbxOverEasy compressor can be used to smooth out uneven tracks or achieve the classic "in your face" sound.

A frequency-adjustable de-esser eliminates vocal sibilance and high-frequency distortion. The enhancer can be used to add clarity to tracks by fine-tuning the HF control, or to clean up the low-mid range by adjusting the LF control.

The expander/gate threshold and ratio controls can also help prevent headphone leaks and eliminate guitar amp noise. The dbx 286s features easy-to-read LED meters and status LEDs.

The microphone input and 1/4 TRS line input are both balanced and unbalanced. The 286s can be used for a wide variety of sources, including microphones, electronic instruments, and reamplifiers for recording tracks. The insert jacks can be used to insert an external processor EQ, delay, etc.

Between the mic preamp section and the processor section on the signal chain, or each section can be used on its own by using only one of the insert jacks. International Buyers - Please Note.
