Joemeek Studio Channel VC1 Brick

I used to see these in some of the top studios in LA. They always looked out of place with the LA2As, 1176s, and Fairchilds. Ten years ago when putting my own home studio together I ask a friend, a legendary producer/engineer/studio owner about the odd, green Joe Meek. Turns out it sounds amazing! It has a built-in mic pre or you can just use the processor/limiter as a line device. This unit looks nearly new, and has been thoroughly tested for functionality, and sound quality. Gearslutz: I like the old "brick" VC1 table top unit best of all the meek units. Weird character, but really cool sometimes. This preamp is very rare, as only 55 were ever made.

It has the original transformer (which is why this one is sought over the newer model). There units are highly collected and sought after. And used by many pro mixers/engineers. Like Jack Joseph Puig of Ocean Way Studios in California.

These are channel strips with joe meek compressors. Mic pre, eq, 48V phantom, and the famous Joemeek optical compression circuit. The optical unit is designed to last more than a life time.

It is a led based optical unit not a EL panel like the Urei units. They have a british transformer input which adds a nice neve like color.
