Original Focusrite 428 PrePack with Analog/ Digital Card installed

Four Focusrite 428 Pre Packs, each with the ADC card installed. These were used as the front end of a mobile computer based recording set up. They all work as designed. I, for one really liked the analog, peak reading meters. The second picture shows them all clock synced to an external clock, (Clarett8preX).

Each ADC is an eight channel converter. The first four channels from the ISA428.

The analogue circuit board used in the ISA428 MkII is exactly the same board used in the original. Here is a summary of the changes made to the ISA428 MkII. Analogue moving coil peak meters have been removed. The LED meters remain on the ISA428 MkII and sit in the signal chain before the A-D converters.

The Soft Limiter feature has been removed. The bit depth selection button has been removed from the front panel. The linear power supply has been replaced with a switched-mode power supply.

The new power supply automatically switches between input voltages. It can be plugged into most mains power supplies around the world without changing a voltage selector or a fuse. ISA 428/828 ADC ADAT Output Configurations.

This applies to the ADC for the ISA 828 and ISA 428. Output connectors operate as follows. Connector 1 = channels 1 to 8 in parallel Connector 2 = channels 1 to 8 in parallel (identical to connector 1).

Connector 1 = channels 1 to 4. Connector 2 = channels 5 to 8. Connector 1 = channels 1 and 2.
