Up for sale is a Seventh Circle Audio CH-02 modular chassis with 8 pre-assembled microphone preamps. This unit is basically brand new.
It was bought less than 3 months ago. I hate to part with it. The unit is fully assembled and is in pristine condition. It is tested, and needless to say, fantastic sounding.
The unit consists of a Seventh Circle Audio CH02 chassis with 4 x J99 (Jensen Twin Servo), 2 x N72 (Neve 1272), and 2 x A12B preamps modelled after the venerable API 512 preamp. All of the mic pre units feature. The delivering up to 70dB of gain including the voltage step-up provided by the transformers.
This is more than enough gain for most applications, especially with modern high-output condenser microphones. A 12 position Grayhill switch provides accurate and repeatable gain settings in 5dB steps from 15dB to 70dB. High quality Bourns conductive plastic potentiometer which can be wired as a full fader or gain trim control, allowing fine adjustment of gain between steps. Slow-rise phantom power minimizes pops and thumps. High quality PC mount connectors eliminate cabling and ease assembly.
