TNC ACMP-84 Mic Pre Neve clone
TNC ACMP-84 Mic Pre Neve clone. Used but in excellent condition. TNC was founded by California-based engineer and producer Chance Pataki. And Nassau-based engineer/producer Terry Manning of Compass Point Studios. In 2007, TnC Audio imports pro audio gear from Chinese manufacturers for sale (at near-wholesale prices) around the world. The TNC ACMP-84 is a one RU channel strip (mic pre and EQ). This is modeled after a Neve 1084. These come with all the quirks all these units have; the pres work and sound really good, the EQs function. There are popping noises when stepping through one position on the input gain knob. It's a known issue and there are mods all over the internet to deal with it. I always managed to work around it without a problem so never bothered to do any mods. Mic input gain -80 to -20 in 6db steps. Line input gain -20 to +10 in 3db steps. VU meter, and clipping indicator LEDs. EQ button to bypass or engage whole EQ.
