The Universal Audio LA-610 Tube Recording Channel combines the 610 Mic-Pre/EQ/DI section and a T4 Opto-compressor into a 2RU unit. The 610-tube preamp, DI, and EQ is from UA's TEC-award winning 6176 and is based on the legendary console modules developed by Bill Putnam in the'60s, noted for their musical character and warmth. An ideal front-end for tracking with modern DAWs and for the serious project studio looking for quality UA sound.

It uses three 12AX7As, a 6072A, and a 6AQ5 tube for warmth and overall tonal balance. After the preamp section comes the T4 optical compressor, the heart and soul of the famed Teletronix LA-2A. Legendary Bill Putnam 610 tube mic pre and EQ. Mic pre Gain and Level controls, variable impedance switching, and Instrument DI. Compression Peak Reduction, Gain, Meter, and Mode controls.

XLR mic and line input. Microphone input impedance: selectable, 500 ohms or 2 kOhms. Balanced line input impedance: 20 kOhms. Hi-Z input impedance: Selectable, 2.2 mOhms or 47 kOhms. Maximum microphone input level: -8 dBu 2K input Imp.

Maximum output level: +18 dBu (1% THD). Internal output impedance: 80 ohms. Recommended minimum load: 600 ohms.

Frequency response: 20Hz-20kHz ±0.5dB. Maximum gain: 40dB (Line), +77dB (Mic). Noise floor: -72 dBu (Line In, unity gain). Tube complement: 3 - 12AX7A and one 6072A. 3-1/2"H X 19"W (2RU).
