Very flexible pre with selectable amplifier and transformer stages - capable of very clean to very saturated tones. The DI is also very sweet sounding for bass - you can dial in some nice low-mid thickness without that harsh fizz that sometimes accompanies more saturated DI tones. Theres a lot of gain available, making the master output control handy. This one is used but quite clean. I got it secondhand a few years back and its been well taken care of in my studio and home setup. The meter calibration never made sense to me - signals loud enough to get to the middle LED were way too hot. I just ignored the lights and adjusted by ear, no problem.
